1 Dead, 6 Injured In Aspen Hill Crash: Police

SILVER SPRING, MD — At least one person died and six people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in the Aspen Hill area Wednesday morning, officials said.

All northbound and southbound lanes of Connecticut Avenue from Independence street and Dean Road were closed Wednesday morning following the collision.

The roads were opened back up around 1 p.m., police announced.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating this incident. Patch will update this post as more information becomes available.
