3 Injured When Car Hits Pedestrian, Other Vehicles in Silver Spring

Injured include the driver behind the wheel in Sunday afternoon incident, according to reports.

SILVER SPRING, MD — A motorist hit a pedestrian and other vehicles Sunday afternoon in Silver Spring, according to local authorities. 

The incident occurred in the 11500 block of Lockwood Drive.

One victim was hit while getting out of his car. The suspect vehicle continued on, hitting an unoccupied car and then a third vehicle with a woman inside, according to WUSA9.

All three people involved are being treated for injuries that are not life threatening.

The suspect driver is facing traffic charges and possible alcohol-related charges, pending the results of a blood test, according to WJLA.
