5 Things You Need to Know Today: July 5

A look at five things you need to know to help get you through the day.

Good Morning! What five things do you need to know to stay up-to-date about what’s going on in the community? Patch has you covered this Tuesday morning:

1. The National Weather Service is issuing a code orange day. With temperatures in the highs near 89, the warning stresses that "children, people with asthma, heart disease, lung disease, and the elderly" should avoid outdoor activities. Into the evening, expect partly cloudy skies and temperatures around 72 degrees. You can find more information at Clean air partners

2. Still celebrating Independence Day? Try the happy hour at Cubano's restaurant located at 1201 Fidler Lane from 3 p.m. This is a good place to continue the party! They have empanadas to authentic mojito drinks for about $3.75. to $4.00.
