What five things do you need to know to stay up-to-date about what’s going on in the community? Patch has you covered this Wednesday morning:
1. Caliente! The National Service is issuing a heat advisory today as temperatures are expected to reach into the high 90's. Officials are asking people to be aware of the heat index as well which may go up to as high as 101. The weather should calm down going into the evening with a low around 74 degrees.
2. The Creative Crafts Council is showcasing artwork by local artists, using various media at the Strathmore. The exhibit is free and open Monday thru Saturday.
