64-Year-Old Man Assaulted, Robbed In Downtown Silver Spring: PD
Montgomery County police say a 64-year-old man was assaulted and robbed by two male suspects in downtown Silver Spring.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Authorities have released surveillance video of two suspects they say recently robbed a 64-year-old man in downtown Silver Spring.
The incident occurred near Colesville Road and East-West Highway around 6:15 p.m. on June 8.
Montgomery County police say an officer was flagged down by the victim who reported that he had just been assaulted and robbed by two men. The 64-year-old victim, who appeared to be bleeding from his face, stated that he was walking on Colesville Road when he was approached and attacked by the suspects. They reportedly stole his property, and were last seen fleeing on foot toward East-West Highway.

Detectives ask anyone with additional information to call the 3rd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6870. Those who wish to remain anonymous can call the county's Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). The group may pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
