Construction on The Fillmore Music Venue Moves Forward
The music venue will be able to hold 2000 occupants once it's complete.
Construction workers are hammering away at The Fillmore music venue to prepare it for the grand opening performance showcasing Mary J. Blige on September 15.
House of Blues CEO Ron Bension is ecstatic about The Fillmore and calls it "something special" for the Silver Spring community. “The Fillmore legacy beginning in the sixties and continuing into the present is the embodiment of an amazing musical experience for fans and artists.”
Blige's fans are in for a treat. Her 11th album My Life II will be in stores two days before her concert in downtown.
