SILVER SPRING, MD — A Fairland couple was assaulted and robbed outside their home, and authorities are searching for the suspects, according to Montgomery County police.

The incident occurred on Alpenhorn Way shortly before 6 a.m. Friday.

The victims — a 70-year-old male victim and a 65-year-old female — told authorities that they were leaving their home when they were attacked and robbed by three suspects.

Police said they believe the victims were targeted.

The pair was not injured during the robbery.
