1. WASHINGTON REVELS STREET SUNFEST FESTIVAL

Where/When: Join the Washington Revels on Ellsworth Drive (near the Majestic Theater) in downtown Silver Spring on Sunday, June, 19 between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Why go: The festival will include two performance stages presenting traditional music and dance from around the world. There will also a parade and a “Raising the Sun” ceremony! Silver Spring Patch will be there so you can meet the editor.

2. BLUES FESTIVAL ON ELLSWORTH DRIVE AND FENTON ST.

Where/When: Join the festival on Ellsworth Drive and Fenton Street (near the fountain) in downtown Silver Spring on Saturday, June, 18 between 10:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Why go: This year the festival will take place on Fenton Street Market around 10:00 a.m. and then on Silver Plaza on Ellsworth Drive (near the Fountain) at 2:00 p.m. after the Farmers Market. Prepare for a night of performances by The Kinsey Report, Big Boy Little Band, Jonny Grave & the Tombstones, DC Blues Society Band and more! 

Pricing: The event free and open to all. 

3. FATHER'S BARBECUE WITH SPRINGVALE COMMUNITY

Where/When: Join the Springvale Terrace Retirement Community located at 8505 Springvale Rd, Silver Spring  on Sunday, June 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Why go: Enjoy good times with their “Donuts and Dads Discussion” followed by a “Father’s Day Bar-B-Cue” in the Garden Courtyard. Please R.S.V.P by today (June 16).  

Pricing: You must pay for a guest ticket for Bar-B-Cue; everything else is free

4. FENWICK BEER AND WINE TASTING 

Where/When: The beer and wine store is located on 1327 Fenwick Lane and the tasting is on Friday, June 17 from 4:30 p.m.  to 7:30 p.m. 

Why go: Enjoy the flavors of beer from Starr Hill!

5. FLIRTY GIRL SPRING FLING SPA EVENING

Where/When: Join Silver Spring's Maisie Dunbar Spa Lounge located at  8711 First Avenue on Friday, June 17 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m
