Girl Hit By Car Crossing Street In Silver Spring
A 13-year-old girl trying to cross Georgia Avenue Sunday night was critically injured when she was hit by a car, police said.
SILVER SPRING, MD — A 13-year-old girl suffered life-threatening injuries Sunday night when was hit by a car as she tried to cross Georgia Avenue near the intersection with Evans Drive in Silver Spring, authorities said.
Montgomery County police said the collision happened about 6:17 p.m. on Sunday near southbound Georgia Avenue and Evans Drive. A 2004 Acura TL struck the pedestrian in the roadway, and she was taken to an area hospital.
The driver of the Acura, who police did not identify, remained on the scene.

On Monday police said the girl remained in critical but stable condition.
