Man Charged With Murder In Death Of Father In Silver Spring: Police
A Silver Spring man has been charged with murder in the death of his 88-year-old father, Montgomery County Police said.
SILVER SPRING, MD — A Silver Spring man has been charged with murder in the death of his 88-year-old father, Montgomery County Police said Tuesday.
Fabian Newsome, 48, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force on Tuesday, police said in a news release. He was charged with first-degree murder in the death of David Newsome and is being held without bond.
Police were called to the home the men shared just before 7 p.m. Monday in the 12000 block of Sandalwood Lane in Silver Spring. When officers arrived, they found David Newsome dead, with apparent trauma to his body.

The elder Newsome's body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where an autopsy will be conducted to officially determine the cause and manner of death.
