Man Missing From Silver Spring Assisted Living Facility

SILVER SPRING, MD — Police are asking for the public's help in locating a man missing from Silver Spring.

Robert H. Matthews, 47, was last seen at about 6:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26 when he left the assisted living facility he lives at on Daleview Road. He left on foot and has not been in contact with caretakers since that time, police said.

Matthews uses a cane and is known to frequent the area of University Boulevard and Piney Branch Road.

Police describe Matthews as a black man who is 6'6" and weighs 218 pounds. He has a grey beard and was last seen wearing a light green reflective vest and an orange baseball cap.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Matthews is asked to call 911 or the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000.
