Michael Andre Holmes, 25, of Annapolis, is accused of shooting at another vehicle on the Capital Beltway in Silver Spring last month.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Maryland authorities have identified a man they say shot at another vehicle on the Capital Beltway in Silver Spring last month.
Michael Andre Holmes, 25, was arrested at his Annapolis home Wednesday morning and charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and reckless endangerment, according to Maryland State Police.
Police accuse Holmes of shooting at another vehicle on the Outer Loop near University Boulevard on July 27. They, however, did not know about the shooting until they stopped Holmes for an unrelated reason.

During the stop, the driver of a red pickup truck pulled over and told the cop that the Hyundai's driver had shot at him. The bullet, the witness said, hit the passenger side door of his truck. He was uninjured.
