Eisa Gouredou, a Silver Spring resident and member of the Maryland Writers Association, is preparing her debut novel, In the Shadow of Dreams. The story, set in Miami, follows two young French women chasing their American dream. While the book is not yet published, Eisa is a local creative voice whose story could make a compelling feature for Patch, highlighting the vibrant arts and literary talent in our community.

Kavon Phillips was last seen in the 2500 block of Ross Road on May 28. Phillips is black with brown eyes and short brown hair, standing about 6 feet tall and weighing 130 pounds. He may be wearing a black short-sleeve Adidas shirt with a gray hood and black nylon sweat pants. Anyone who has information regarding the whereabouts of Kavon Phillips is asked to call the Montgomery County police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000. Callers may remain anonymous.
