Montgomery College Begins Fall Semester On Aug. 31: What To Know
Most classes will be online through distance learning or structured remote teaching. Some lab sessions, however, will be held in-person.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery College will begin its fall semester on Aug. 31, with most classes resuming online.
However, students in select programs — such as automotive technology and building trades — will return to campus for lab sessions. Those taking in-person classes are expected to follow the college's Health and Safety Guidance.
Fall Semester (Aug. 31 - Dec. 20)

- Most classes and student services will be offered remotely until further notice
- Access to the college's campuses and buildings is restricted
- Faculty will communicate with students via email and telephone during the college's regular operating hours (Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or during each office's regular operating hours
