Montgomery County Police ID Man Fatally Shot In Fairland

A second man was also hospitalized with a gunshot wound, police said.

FAIRLAND, MD — Montgomery County police have identified a man found fatally shot in Fairland this week.

Authorities said the incident occurred around 7:55 p.m. Wednesday in the 3400 block of Robey Terrace. When officers arrived at the location, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

According to police, the man was shot in the area of Aston Manor Drive and ran to Robey Terrace, where 911 was called. He was taken to an area hospital, alert and conscious.

Shortly after 9 p.m., while canvassing the area, K-9 officers discovered the body of 20-year-old Jadyn Mekhi Brown of Silver Spring in the 13800 block of Aston Manor Drive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Homicide detectives responded and are currently investigating both cases," police said. "It is too soon to determine whether the two incidents are connected."

Brown was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where an autopsy was scheduled for Thursday.

No arrests have been made, and no charges have been filed in connection with either the shooting or the homicide.
