Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Getting Hit By Vehicle: Police

CALVERTON, MD — A pedestrian was seriously injured Sunday night when he was struck by a vehicle while crossing Cherry Hill Road, according to the Montgomery County Police Department.

Shortly before midnight, police officers responded to the area of Cherry Hill Rd., just prior to Gracefield Rd., for the report of a pedestrian struck.

The preliminary investigation has revealed that an adult male was crossing the roadway when he was struck by a black 2018 Chevrolet Impala. The victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the striking vehicle remained on scene, police said.
