Police Seek Missing Silver Spring Man

Michael Wilder, 54, was last seen by family members at about 10 a.m. Tuesday when he left his Silver Spring home on foot, police said.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Silver Spring area man.

Michael Wilder, 54, was last seen by family members at about 10 a.m. Tuesday when he left his Barron Street home on foot, police said.

Police and family are concerned for Wilder’s physical and emotional welfare. He is known to frequent 7-Eleven convenience stores, Rite Aid pharmacies and liquor stores in the Takoma Park area, police said.

Wilder is described by police as a white male, 5’5” and weighs 180 pounds. He has blonde hair, blue eyes and was last seen wearing a black coat, blue pants, tennis shoes and a black knit hat.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Wilder is asked to call the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (available 24 hours). Callers may remain anonymous.
