Maryland Man Arrested, Charged With Burglarizing DC Home
Authorities said the burglary happened on April 17, 2023, in Southeast D.C.
SILVER SPRING, MD — A Silver Spring man is facing charges after authorities said he burglarized a Washington, D.C. home in 2023.
Courtland Monroe, 27, was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary in connection with the incident, the Metropolitan Police Department said in a statement.
According to police, Monroe is accused of entering an occupied residence in the 100 block of I Street around 10:30 p.m. on April 18, 2023, and again at 5 a.m. the following day.

Once inside, police said he took property and fled the scene.
