Silver Spring Teen's Body Found By Dogwalker In Woods: Police
BREAKING NEWS: The decedent was identified as Harry Detwiler, 19, of Silver Spring. His family reported him a missing person in September.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Police have announced the identity of the man whose body was found by a dog walker in a wooded area of Brookeville on Nov. 12.
Police released the victim's identity Thursday—Harry Ryan Detwiler, 19, of Margate Road in Silver Spring.
A resident located the skeletal remains buried in a shallow grave in the 19500 block of Georgia Ave. and contacted police Nov. 12.

Detwiler’s family reported him as a missing person to police in September 2017, police said. According to the government agency Maryland Center for Missing and Unidentified Persons, Detwiler was last seen May 15, 2017.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore conducted an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of Detwiler’s death and the findings are pending, police said.
