Silver Spring Theatre Arts College Student Stars In 'Radium Girls'
Silver Spring student portrays multiple roles in McDaniel College's upcoming production of "Radium Girls" in Westminister, Maryland.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Nina Porter, a theatre arts major from Silver Spring, is performing in McDaniel College's upcoming production of "Radium Girls." Porter portrays Harriet/Bailey/ Clark/ Board Member #2 in the show.
Written with warmth and humor, "Radium Girls" tells the true story of dial painter Grace Fryer as she fights to have her day in court, according to a release from the school.
"This is a fascinating, yet tragic, piece of American history that had been swept under the carpet until rather recently," said director Gene Fouche, McDaniel's theatre arts department chair.

Performances of "Radium Girls" will be presented at 7:30 p.m., from Nov. 17-19, on the school's WMC Alumni Hall Mainstage at 2 College Hill in Westminster, Maryland. Tickets are $10 for adults. Tickets for seniors (60+) and active military and veterans are available for $10. Students can also receive discounted admission if they show a McDaniel College ID.
