Silver Spring Woman Dies In 3-Car Crash In Montgomery County
Two others suffered injuries in the Aug. 7 crash, according to Montgomery County police.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — A Silver Spring woman is dead following a crash involving multiple cars in Montgomery County, according to police.
The collision occurred around 8 a.m. on Aug. 7 at the intersection of Randolph Road and Sherwood Forest Drive in Colesville.
According to Montgomery County police, a silver Toyota GR86 was traveling west on Randolph Road when it struck a red 2011 Toyota 4-Runner that was turning left from eastbound Randolph Road onto Sherwood Forest Drive.

The impact of the crash caused the 4-Runner to roll over and strike a black Buick Envista.
A passenger in the 4-Runner, identified by police as 85-year-old Josephine Gieske, was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. She died on Aug. 22, police said.

The drivers of the 4-Runner and GR86 were also taken to the hospital for treatment. The driver of the Buick reported no injuries.
