Summer Entertainment Kicks Off In Silver Spring's Veterans Plaza

Montgomery County is hosting free concerts, exercise classes and market at Silver Spring's Veterans Plaza throughout the summer.

SILVER SPRING, MD — The lineup of free events at Veterans Plaza is growing, as more performers sign on to give shows this summer.

So far, Montgomery County has a slate of recurring weekly events, along with one-time performances from some local bands. Here's what's coming up in the next couple of weeks at Veterans Plaza in Silver Spring.

One-Time Events:

  • 8th Annual Fit Father’s Day Celebration – Sunday, June 20 from 10 a.m. to noon
  • Pride in the Plaza – Sunday, June 27 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Concerts:
    • Los Day Trippers – Friday, June 18 from 5 to 9 p.m.
    • The Potecasi Slade Experience – Friday, June 25 from 5 to 9 p.m.

Recurring Events:

  • Let’s Dance! Zuri Sana’a DanXercise Afrobeat Dance Class - Mondays from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • The Experience Band and Show – Wednesdays from 5 to 8 p.m.
  • Freshfarm Market – Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
