Today at SilverDocs: June 22

If you're heading to SilverDocs, here's what you should know.

It’s day 3 of SilverDocs! The film festival has been bringing in film lovers from all over the country to screen movies. 

Today, the conference kicks off at 9 a.m. at the Silver Spring Civic Center and shortly after attendees can take part in discussions with Discovery executives from shows including Animal Planet, OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network and more at Discovery Networks Roundtable which starts at 12 p.m and much more. 

Movie screenings: Watch the "Shorts Program: The Stories that Shape Us" at 12 p.m. featuring films such as The Barber of Birmingham: Foot Soldier of the Civil Rights Movement, Bathing Micky and Living For 32.

The Rescuers is set to be screened at the today at 10:45 a.m. The filmmaker, Michael King, documents the journey of two people who highlight the brave acts of 12 diplomats who risk their lives to save tens of thousands of Jews from the hold of Nazi concentration camps. 

Doc Talk: Reverse Angle: When the Filmmaker is in the Film discusses what it means when the filmmaker decides to include her or himself in the film. This discussion will take place at the Silver Spring Civic Center at 1: 00 p.m.
