Woman Killed In Apparent Murder-Suicide In Silver Spring
A 28-year-old man who police said killed the woman was also found dead, according to authorities.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Two people are dead in what Montgomery County police are investigating as a murder-suicide, according to authorities.
Officers responded to the Warwick Apartments in the 1100 block of University Boulevard West in Silver Spring shortly before 1 p.m. on Wednesday after receiving a call about a man who had jumped from the building.
When first responders arrived, they found 28-year-old Demetreis Lee outside near the pool area, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

As officers searched the building to determine where he had fallen from, they found 28-year-old Andrea Guirola in the hallway on the 21st floor, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Emergency personnel provided aid, but she died at the scene, police said.
A witness later told police that Lee stabbed Guirola inside the apartment. Guirola was able to leave the apartment but collapsed in the hallway, where first responders found her.

Lee was last seen on the balcony before falling, police said. A knife believed to have been used in the stabbing was recovered outside.
Both bodies were taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the official cause and manner of death.
