Arlington Community Education to host climate change panel

A panel of local experts, including State Representative Sean Garballey, will lead an insightful discussion.

Arlington Community Education will present “Fighting Climate Change Together” on Wednesday, May 21, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Arlington High School. Admission is $10 with advanced registration and $15 (cash only) at the door.

It’s easy to feel helpless in the face of climate change, but each of us can take meaningful action to make a difference. A panel of local experts will lead an insightful discussion on practical steps we can take in our daily lives. Moderated by Arlington political and climate activist Paulette Schwartz, the panel will include:

  • State Representative Sean Garballey
  • Arlington Energy Advocate Lori Kenschaft
  • Arlington Recycling Coordinator Charlotte Milan
  • Claire Moodie of Mothers Out Front
  • Food Link volunteer Julie Lucey

Topics will include energy use, food choices, transportation, waste management, and recycling, identifying specific ways to create positive change both individually and as a community. Attendees will leave with resource materials, a personal action plan, and a renewed sense of hope.
