The fall 2025 catalog features artwork by ACE cover art contest winner Ashley Loc. A Boston-based mixed media artist, Loc explores the intersection of ecology, memory, and spiritual symbolism. Her work centers on moths—creatures often viewed as omens or ancestors in many cultures—and reflects on their ecological significance amid climate change. In Cabinet of Curiosities, delicate pressed flowers like cosmos, chrysanthemums, and crocosmias form dramatic, moth-like shapes. See more of her work at www.ashleyloc.com.
“This season’s cover is a celebration of transformation and resilience—fitting themes for both lifelong learning and Ashley Loc’s stunning artwork,” said Jen Rothenberg, Director of Arlington Community Education. “Just as her moths invite reflection on beauty, biodiversity, and hope, our classes offer opportunities for growth, creativity, and connection.”
If you do not receive a printed catalog in the mail and would like one, copies are available in news bins near the Capitol Theater and Trader Joe’s. You can also view the entire catalog and register at ArlingtonCommunityEd.org, as well as join the ACE email list to get information on course offerings. Many classes fill quickly, and under-enrolled classes are canceled, so register early.
