Arlington High School Seniors Take Top Spot In Thanksgiving Turkey Toss: Report

ARLINGTON, MA — An Arlington High School senior took home first place in a popular radio station’s annual Thanksgiving competition, according to a report from WBZ NewsRadio.

Brady Bekkenhuis and Drew Beck beat out peers from around the state in Kiss 108’s Turkey Toss at Somerville’s Assembly Row. Bekkenhuis threw a 20-pound turkey further than anyone else and Beck successfully caught it. There were concerns that Bekkenhuis crossed the boundary during the throw, but after video review the victory was confirmed. The pair said they were proud to represent their hometown.
