Arlington Police Giving Community Chance For Free Crash Prevention Training
The department has partnered with a local nonprofit organization that teaches driving safety.
ARLINGTON, MA — The police department announced it is giving some residents the opportunity to take a relatively expensive crash-prevention driving course for free.
Interested parties can apply online for a free voucher to what is usually a $350 program.
In Control is a nonprofit that has provided crash-prevention and other driving-related emergency preparedness training to more than 40,000 people. In addition to the crash prevention course, the organization is also currently teaching close quarters maneuvering, trailer training, and refresher courses to those who have already completed previous instruction.
In addition to being an Arlington resident, other requirements to receive a voucher include having a driver’s license or learner’s permit. Drivers who still have learner’s permits must have a minimum of eight hours of driving experience.
