Arlington Police Welcome Newest Officer
The former cadet graduated from the local academy this week.

ARLINGTON, MA — The police department celebrated the graduation of its newest officer this week.
Jaelyn J. Owens completed her training at the Massachusetts Police Training Academy in Lynnfield on Tuesday following six months of what was described as rigorous and diverse training. She is now officially a member of the 7th Recruit Officer Class.
The next step for Owens will be to experience 12 weeks of on-the-job field training by working under a veteran member of the department. After a successful training session, Ownes will be able to take on solo patrol duties.
