ARLINGTON, MA — A town leader has decided to return to her position after planning to resign, according to a report from YourArlington.

Director of Recreation and Community Services Natasha Waden announced early last month she was leaving her position for a job with the town of Andover. However, she announced she had changed her mind during the Parks and Recreation Commission’s most recent meeting.

The town reportedly gave Waden a raise of approximately 9 percent in an effort to retain her, and it played a role in her ultimate decision to stay. Town Manager Jim Feeney expressed his pleasure with Waden’s job performance and that he was determined to retain her.
