Arlington Seeking Parking Enforcement Officer For Full-time Position

The police department is accepting applications for the street-patrolling job.

ARLINGTON, MA — The town announced Wednesday that it is seeking a full-time parking control officer.

The job description includes patrolling a designated area of the town enforcing its parking regulations. The officer would have agency to issue parking tickets related to violations related to meters, restricted area parking, and overtime parking.

The expected hours of the position are Tuesday through Friday between the hours of 11:30 a.m. and 8 p.m., as well as Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

A high school or general education diploma is required to be considered. The town emphasized the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions as an important requirement for the job.
“Remain civil and courteous at all times, realizing that the position is representative of the Division,” the police department said in a statement.

An hourly wage of $20.57 is offered, but range up to $26.49. Residents can apply on the town website.
