Arlington Select Board Member To Resign After Move To Nearby Community: Report
Lenard Diggins's five-year tenure is coming to an end next week.

ARLINGTON, MA — A Select Board member is slated to resign from his position after a recent relocation to another community, according to a report from YourArlington.
Vice Chair Lenard Diggins is reportedly in the process of resigning from the board as he is in the midst of moving to Somerville. The board’s next meeting is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 6, and it is expected to be Diggins’s last.
Diggins was first elected to the Select Board in 2020 before being reelected for a second consecutive term in 2023. He was a driving force behind the creation of the town’s Youth and Adult Advisory Committee during his tenure.

The board will have to appoint an interim member to serve out the remainder of Diggins’s term until March 2026.
