ARLINGTON, MA — The students of Arlington Catholic High School partnered with the Rotary Club of Arlington, The Knights of Columbus Council, and the police department to deliver essential goods to those struggling with homelessness.

Students worked to fill backpacks with winter clothes, toiletries, and hygiene products to be delivered to those in need. Officer Joseph Canniff, who leads the department’s Homeless Outreach Program, picked up the backpacks from the school on Wednesday so he and his peers can personally get them to those in the community who need them the most.

“The Arlington Police Department extends a heartfelt thank-you to the Rotary Club of Arlington and the students and staff of Arlington Catholic High School for their compassion, generosity, and commitment to supporting our community’s most vulnerable residents,” the department said in a statement.
