MassDOT Installing Bus Lane On Route 2 Ramp In Arlington
Lane restrictions and closures will be in effect on the ramp to Alewife Station for the remainder of the week.
ARLINGTON, MA — MassDOT will enact lane restrictions and closures on the ramp from Route 2 eastbound to the Alewife MBTA station.
Lanes will be reduced between 8-10 a.m., and the ramp will be closed from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 10, Thursday, Nov. 11 and Friday, Nov. 12. Crews will finish installing a bus lane, which is being done under a $200,000 district-wide resurfacing contract, MassDOT said.
During the ramp closures, traffic will be detoured as follows:

- Route 2 Eastbound to Alewife Brook Parkway to the southerly Alewife MBTA entrance via Cambridge Park Drive.
The schedule for this work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice. Drivers who are traveling through the area should reduce speed and use caution.
