1 Dead, 1 Injured In Raynham Car Crash; I-495 NB Partially Closed
Part of I-495 North was reduced to one lane after a "complex" 5-car crash occurred Tuesday morning near the Route 138 exit in Raynham.
RAYNHAM, MA — One person has died and another suffered serious injuries in a multi-car crash on I-495 North Tuesday morning, state police said.
Massachusetts State Police called the crash "complex" and said it involved five vehicles, one of which was pulling a trailer. It occurred at around 7:15 a.m.
One motorist was pronounced dead at the scene. A second person was hospitalized with serious injuries, police said.

Boston 25 News reported that police believe the injured individual was outside of his vehicle when he was struck.
The crash caused state police to shut down part of I-495 North entirely. Only the highway's left lane is open as of 11 a.m. as authorities continue to investigate the incident, Boston.com reported.
