Brockton To Host Shoe City Festival

BROCKTON, MA — The city is getting ready to celebrate its rich history as the "Shoe Capital of the World" during this Saturday's Shoe City Festival and community event, taking place from noon to 6 p.m. The event will feature a sneaker design contest, in addition to food trucks, cultural dances, exhibits, children's activities and more.

Registration for the sneaker design contest will take place at 2 p.m. Designs will be judged on originality, practicality, creativity, innovation and being structurally sound. Judging will take place from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The City of Shoes Festival will take place at 11 Crescent St. Free parking will be available in the Adams garage on Crescent Street.
