Brockton Man Accused Of Driving 90 MPH And Giving False Name Arrested

The man initially gave a fake name to police before he was identified and taken into custody, police said.

BROCKTON, MA — A 23-year-old unlicensed Brockton man was arrested overnight Monday after fleeing from cops who attempted to stop him while he was speeding on Main Street in Hanson, according to the Hanson Police Department.

Police said the man was driving more than 90 miles per hour when officers spotted him, after which he fled down Phillips Street to the back of the Depot Village apartments.

He will appear in Plymouth District Court and faces charges of failure to stop for police, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, providing a false name, and other motor vehicle charges.
