Brockton Man Who Photographed Woman In YMCA Shower Catches 21 New Charges: Cops
An examination of the Brockton man's cellphone turned up 17 additional illicit images, police said.

EAST BRIDGEWATER, MA — A Brockton man who pleaded guilty to snapping pictures of a woman showering at the East Bridgewater YMCA was slapped with 21 new charges after investigators sifted through his cellphone and found even more illicit images, police said.
Abidan Rivera, 42, was already locked up at the Plymouth County Correctional Facility when the 17 additional illicit images were found on his phone, the East Bridgewater Police Department said in a media release.

Rivera had been arrested March 2 on a charge of photographing, videotaping or electronically surveilling someone nude or partially Nude, or their sexual intimate parts, and he pleaded guilty in May, according to the release.

The new illicit images were discovered during a forensic examination of Rivera's cellphone by the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office High Tech Evidence Analysis Team, the release said.
"The images are of both women and children, nude and unaware they were being photographed, that appear to have been taken in the family locker room of the East Bridgewater YMCA," the release said.

Rivera was subsequently charged with 17 counts of photographing, videotaping or electronically surveilling someone nude or partially nude, or their sexual intimate parts, two counts of posing or exhibiting a child in a state of nudity or sexual conduct, and two counts of possession of child pornography, according to the release.
