BROCKTON, MA — The Brockton Fire Department and Brockton Animal Control came together Monday to rescue a small deer from a water tank at a water treatment facility in town, officials said.
Brockton Animal Control wrote on Facebook that the fawn—no more than two months old—had jumped into a tank holding around 15 feet of water.

"Officers were able to guide and contain the fawn into a drain where the water was much shallower," animal control officials wrote. "This helped to relieve stress and exhaustion until further help could arrive."
