Brockton Police Conducting Alcohol Compliance Checks
The checks will see if Brockton restaurants, bars, and liquor stores are carding customers when they purchase alcohol.
BROCKTON, MA — Brockton bars and restaurants, and liquor stores should expect a visit sometime next month from the police department as part of a liquor license compliance check. Police announced Wednesday that the purpose of the checks is to ensure that bars and restaurants in town are complying with underage drinking regulations put forth by the Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission and the City of Boston.
Police said they plan to send undercover officers to bars and restaurants to spot check the IDs of people who appear to be under 21.
Compliance check dates were not announced.
