Gunman Takes Own Life After Shooting Brockton Police Officer

The police officer expected to survive. Another body was found at the scene, officials said.

BROCKTON, MA — A gunman took his own life after shooting a police officer four times during a standoff at a Brockton home, officials said.

The police officer is expected to survive.

Another person was found dead in a vehicle at the scene, Plymouth Country District Attorney Tim Cruz said.

The gunman was barricaded in a Tabor Avenue home. Police started clearing the scene around 9:30 p.m.
