Brockton Woman ID'd As Person Found Dead In East Bridgewater Yard

An East Bridgewater resident found the woman unconscious and only partially clothed in her side yard Sunday morning, officials said.

BROCKTON, MA — The woman whose body was found outside a home on Belmont Street in East Bridgewater Sunday morning has been identified as a Brockton resident, the Plymouth County District Attorney said Tuesday.

The suspicious death of Nicole Swan, 42, was reported just before 9:30 a.m. Sunday, when police received a call from an East Bridgewater resident who said there was a person unconscious and only partially clothed in her side yard, officials said.

Authorities arrived to find Swan face down on the grass, according to officials.

Though the investigation is ongoing, officials preliminarily said that this does "not appear to have been a random act and there is no threat to public safety."

Swan's cause and manner of death have yet to be determined.
