Cardinal Spellman Receives $1 Million Legacy Gift

The school was given a $1 million life insurance policy from Mr. Stephen Prone, Trustee, President of the Prone Family Foundation.

From Cardinal Spellman HS: Cardinal Spellman High School announced its very first planned legacy gift in the form of a one million dollar ($1,000,000) life insurance policy from Mr. Stephen Prone, Trustee and President of the Prone Family Foundation.

Mr. Prone's gift is the largest single gift in Spellman's history. This impactful gift will ensure Mr. Prone's commitment to Spellman will last beyond his lifetime.

The Prone Family Foundation is managed by Trustee and President, Mr. Stephen Prone, parent of Spellman alumnus Christopher Prone Class of 2005. We asked Mr. Prone what motivates him to give. "The Prone Family Foundation is primarily an educational scholarship charity. Over the years Spellman's administration and staff have been excellent stewards of my contributions. I have complete confidence that the contributions from the Prone Family Foundation are making a difference in the lives of the students and families that they serve."

The Prone Family Foundation has not only contributed financially to the school, but Mr. Stephen Prone has also shared his passions with the Spellman community. In February, Spellman hosted a Comic Book and Art Exhibit, featuring a few highlights from Mr. Prone's extensive comic book collection, which includes nearly 30,000 classic graphic novels. Cardinal Spellman High School is extremely grateful for the generous support The Prone Family Foundation has provided over the years.
