Dump Truck Crashes Into Overpass On Route 24 In West Bridgewater

WEST BRIDGEWATER, MA — A dump truck crashed into an overpass on Route 24 in West Bridgewater early Wednesday morning.

Police officers say the crash happened near exit 106 around 2 a.m.

All northbound lanes of the highway were closed for about an hour while crews worked to clear the scene. All lanes have since reopened.

Bridge inspection crews remained on the scene to make sure the bridge was still structurally sound, and an initial inspection from MassDOT said there was no indication of serious damage to the bridge.
