Man Riding Moped In Brockton Dies In Crash
Investigators said that at around 11:39 p.m. Thursday, the moped and a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta collided on Route 24 north in Brockton.
BROCKTON, MA — A man who was riding a moped died after colliding with a car on Route 24 north in Brockton late Thursday night, state police said in a news release.
Investigators said that at around 11:39 p.m. Thursday, the moped and a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta collided as the moped moved from the right lane to the middle lane.
After the collision, the man riding the moped was ejected from the bike and three more vehicles that had been driving behind the bike struck it as it lay on the roadway, according to police. The driver of the Volkswagen stayed at the scene.

The man riding the moped was taken to the hospital, where he died, police said.
The scene was cleared at 12:48 a.m. and the crash is under investigation, according to police.
