• Owner of dog saved by West Bridgewater cop to be arraigned Dec. 23 (enterprisenews.com) — A Taunton man is set to be arraigned Dec. 23 in Brockton District Court on an animal cruelty charge after a severely malnourished puppy was discovered during a West Bridgewater traffic stop. The dog, now named Sprout, has been recovering at the Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts in Brockton, where staff have been helping her regain strength and stability.

The case involves Plymouth County authorities and remains an active prosecution.
