One person facing life-threatening injuries after serious crash in Brockton (boston25news.com) — A driver suffered life-threatening injuries Wednesday night after crashing at high speed near North Cary and Provost streets in Brockton, according to local police. The vehicle heavily damaged at least three utility poles, drawing utility crews and prompting an ongoing investigation into what led up to the wreck.
   

2. Boston Bruins Foundation, Professional Fire Fighters of Massachusetts to deliver free coats to Beverly, Brockton, Chelsea, Dorchester, Fall River, Hadley, Lawrence, Lynn, Palmer, Roxbury, Whitman,… (fallriverreporter.com) — Brockton is one of a dozen Massachusetts communities where the Boston Bruins Foundation and Professional Fire Fighters of Massachusetts will deliver free new winter coats and hats to children in need through their expanded 2025 “Operation Warm” drive. The program, backed by $105,000 in funding, will send fire fighters and partners to local schools and nonprofits to get warm gear directly into kids’ hands.

Brockton man charged with human trafficking after sting operation (turnto10.com) — A 28-year-old Brockton man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged human trafficking incident uncovered by Auburn police, and is now being held at the Worcester County House of Corrections. Officers say they intervened after arranging a meeting with a woman advertising sexual activity, then separated her from the man and arrested him on trafficking, drug, and credit card charges. His previous bail in another case has been revoked.
   

4. ‘She was falling out of love': Ana Walshe's friends take the stand in murder trial (bostonherald.com) — Jurors in the Brian Walshe murder trial were shown video of him discarding items in a Brockton apartment complex dumpster as prosecutors wrapped up their case. Friends of Ana Walshe testified about her strained marriage, growing emotional distance, and final days before she disappeared, setting the stage for the defense to begin presenting its side.
