Snow Day For Brockton Public Schools Friday

BROCKTON, MA — With an impending winter storm on its way, Brockton Public Schools have canceled all classes Friday, Jan. 7.

The School's Facebook page cites inclement weather expected to create hazardous conditions, especially during the morning commute.

This weather announcement comes after the High School canceled school on Tuesday, due to staffing shortages amid the rising number of COVID-19 cases after the holiday break.

Snow is expected to start falling early Friday morning — between 3-5 a.m. depending on where you are in the state — and intensify through the morning. Forecasters are expecting a rate of 1 inch per hour from around 6-9 a.m.
