Travel Advisory: Belmont Street Overnight Roadway Reconstruction
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced work on Belmont Street will take place overnight from Dec. 21 through July 2024.

BROCKTON, MA—The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) announced on Thursday that it will be conducting overnight roadway reconstruction and related work on Belmont St. starting Monday, Dec. 21 and ending in July of 2024.
The work will primarily take place Monday through Friday during the overnight hours of 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. and will include traffic management operations and temporary lane closures. A minimum of two lanes will be open at all times, said MassDOT in a press release. Daytime work may take place between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during the beginning of the project.
The roadway reconstruction work will include pavement milling and overlay, construction of sidewalks, pedestrian ramps, drainage modifications, and the installation of a new traffic signal, said the press release.

Temporary lane restrictions and detours will take place during work hours and drivers should expect delays and use caution.
