WATCH: Four In Brockton Hospitalized By Two-Alarm Fire
Firefighters had to enter the home through a third-floor porch.

BROCKTON, MA — Four people and at least one cat were rescued from an early morning two-alarm fire on Kenwood Street in Brockton Friday.
Firefighters had to enter the home through a third floor porch and had some trouble with flames in a small attic area, with solar panels obstructing ventilation efforts.
The fire was knocked down by 7:40 a.m., according to Brockton Fire.

Fire Chief Michael Williams told reporters that the believe the fire started on the first floor at about 5 a.m.
All four occupants were recused through the balcony and taken to the hospital. Several cats were also rescued, but at least one has died, according to NBC 10.

Avon, Whitman, West Bridgewater, and Easton provided mutual aid. Plymouth County Control coordinated the mutual aid effort.
The fire is under investigation.
